Read moreThe Northeast Texas Public Health District released on Monday, Jan. 11, there had been 69 more positive confirmations of the COVID-19 virus, bringing the total to 2,712 total cases. On Sunday, Jan. 10, NET Health reported that nine deaths had been from one facility within the city limits of Van. The total number of deaths caused by the virus is 50, or 1.8 percent. By city, there have been 12 deaths in Wills Point and Canton, 10 in Grand Saline, six in Edgewood, three each in Ben Wheeler and Van, two in Murchison, and one each in Athens and Mabank.
