Services for Archie Wayne Gandy, 74, of Canton, were held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Jerry Truett officiating. Interment was at Oakland Cemetery.

Mr. Gandy passed away Nov. 12, 2021, in Canton. He was born Aug. 3, 1947, in Terrell to Archie F. and Josie Moore Gandy. Mr. Gandy attended the Barn Fellowship in Grand Saline. He was married on Sept. 28, 1966, to the love of his life, Cecelia. The couple had 55 beautiful years together. He enjoyed hunting, spending time outdoors, watching “rope operas” (westerns), and playing Forty-Two. As a young man, he enjoyed racing dirt track cars, playdays and horses. Archie spent most of his career self-employed in “real estate relocation” (excavation and construction). He was a U.S. Army Veteran who loved his family and sharing the gospel. Mr. Gandy is preceded in death by his parents, Archie F. and Josie Gandy; daughter, Christine; two brothers; and his favorite dog, Dipstick. Archie is survived by his wife, Cecilia Gandy of Canton; children, Tammy and Morgan Kreger of Rotan, and Chip and Robin Gandy of Ben Wheeler; grandchildren, Cody and Marissa McLemore, Krista and Skylar Allen, Katie and Jeff Wylie, Page and Hunter Manry, Ty Gandy, Shelby and Dyllon Krager, Jack and Katelyn Kreger; three great-grandchildren, Natlie, Levi and Chance; five siblings and numerous other family members and friends.

Pallbearers were Cody McLemore, Ty Gandy, Jacob Kreger, Jeff Wylie, Skylar Allen, Hunter Manry and Dyllon Krager. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Van Zandt County Veterans Memorial.
