Services for Betty Clifford Gray, 87, Grand Saline, were held Friday, July 5, 2019, at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Mark Pedersen officiating. Interment was in Woodside Cemetery. She passed away July 1, 2019, in Grand Saline.

She was born Aug. 1, 1931, in Longview to George and

Willie Mae Tucker Starkey. She spent her early years in Grand Saline, many years in Dallas, Irving, and Greenville and the last 14 years back in Grand Saline.

She worked at First National Bank of Grand Saline, Lakewood Country Club, Top of the Cliff and Van Zandt Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Gray; two brothers, George Starkey Jr. and Kenneth Starkey; and two sisters, Joy Atkinson and Barbara Hoskinson.

Survivors include son, Harry C. Clifford III and wife, Emile, of Grand Saline; four brothers, Bill Starkey and wife, Esther, of Anchorage, AL, Jerry Starkey and wife, Barbara Ann, of Rockwall, Gary Starkey and wife, Bo, of Cisco and Richard Starkey of Dallas; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Starkey of Dallas and Lucine Starkey of Cisco; brother-in-law, James Hoskinson of Hideaway Lake; one grandchild, Travis Clifford and wife, Susan, of Aledo; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Harley Clifford; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Johnny Thompson, Mike Land, David Davis, Robert Marshall Davidson, John Terry Rash and Thomas Pugh.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Grand Saline.
