A funeral service was held for Brad Lee Allen, 59, of Canton, Texas at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Canton Church of Christ in Canton, Texas. Bro. Blake O’Quin and Chaplain Elaine Maddox of the Dallas Fire Department officiating and under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.

Brad went to be home with the Lord on July 11, 2021 from Tyler, Texas. He was born in Dallas, Texas on December 29, 1961, to Milton Allen and Maudane Linch Allen. Brad grew up in Duncanville and graduated from Duncanville High School in 1980. On August 23, 1986 he married his fellow adventurer, Beverly Doggett. He joined the Dallas Fire Department in 1989 and was with the department until he retired in 2019. He was a member of Canton Church of Christ and involved in the Men’s Ministry.

Brad loved his Lord, his family, his church, the fire department and all things game related. All his life, Brad has been involved in sports. Soccer became his passion in high school and he brought the sport to Canton and to the Firefighter Olympics. He loved encouraging kids and adults to join in and have clean competition, and that trait soon became his trademark. He even acquired the nickname “Hasbro” at the fire department because of all of the games he instigated! Brad was fully involved in Jess and Madi’s lives from PTO dad to coaching their teams. Family vacations and time spent together dominated his thoughts and plans. Brad’s kind, easygoing, loving presence will be missed on this earth. His influence will be remembered forever. We will see him again when we join our Lord.

Brad is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Allen; daughters, Jessika Allen and Madison Allen; mother, Maudane Allen; brother and sister in-law, Craig and Kelli Allen; sister in-law, Pam Allen; nephews and nieces, Sam Allen, Avery Allen, Michael Allen (Cynthia), Cade Allen (Kristal); and many other family and friends. Brad is preceded in death by his father, Milton Allen, and brother, Keith Allen.

Interment will be at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
