A celebration of life for Charles Erwin Poston, 69, of Wills Point, was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13,2021, at Eubank Funeral Home, Bro. Daniel Claxton officiating.

Charles went home to the Lord on Oct. 8, 2021, in Kaufman. He was born on March 27, 1952, in Kaufman to Erwin Claude Poston and Dora Faye Bolt Poston.

He grew up in the Terrell and Forney area. On Sept. 20, 1968, he married his high school sweetheart, Helen Thompson. “His Bride” (as he still referred to Helen) and he were married 53 beautiful years. Charles enjoyed traveling, fishing and race cars. He was a hardworking man with a rough and tough exterior but had a very tender heart. Charles was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a member of Cana Baptist Church in Wills Point. Charles loved the Lord, his bride, and his family. He was a great friend to have and wonderful husband, dad, and “Papa”. Charles will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

“A great man that loved the Lord, his wife and places his family as the most important thing in life.”

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Helen Poston; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Bryan Ashley and Jackie and Barry Clanton; grandchildren, Matthew Clanton, Courtney and Chris Sheppard, Britney Ashley, Dustin and Faith Ashley; great-grandchildren, Allyssa, Nicole, Nadia, Kason, Taylor, Stryker and Willa Mae; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and James Fellers along with multiple nieces, nephews, and friends he called family.

Those waiting for him on the other side are his parents, Erwin and Dora Poston; brother, Weldon Haley and sister, Donna Gimerelli.
