Services for Frances Ellison DuBose were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020, at First Baptist Church in Van. A graveside service followed at Union Chapel Cemetery, with Pastor Mark Frizzell and Scott Thomas officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Hilliard Funeral Home.

Mary Frances Reinhardt Ellison DuBose was born Jan. 27, 1929, in Garden Valley. Frances was the fifth child of Zeb and Bessie Reinhardt. She lived most of her life in the Van area, and was an active member of First Baptist Church for 55 years. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed her Stitch-A-Bit group until her passing. Frances was a lover of music and enjoyed playing her piano and pump organ for her family and friends.

Frances passed away at the age of 91 on June 15, 2020, in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Aubrey Ellison (1993) and Aaron DuBose; parents, Zeb Vance and Bessie McKay Reinhardt; and siblings, Joyce Backs, Z.V. Reinhardt, Eugene Reinhardt, and O.K. “Keith” Reinhardt.

She is survived by one sister, Narnie R. Buchanan of Midland; and nieces and nephews, Katrina and Charles Landers of Waller, Zeb Reinhardt of Friendswood, Norma Jo Backs of Sugarland, Kay and Tom Zeltmann of Midland, Kathy and Mark Beny of College Station, Doug Zeltmann of Midland, Charles and Janine Ellison of Van, and Janet and Dan Bagby of Virginia; and a host of great-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Doug Zeltmann, Tom Zeltmann, Mark Beny, Spencer Ellison, Stephen Ellison, Mark Dickerson, and Leslie Goode. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Ellison, Dan Bagby, Jeff Piepgras, Tommy Smith, and Bob Ritchey.
