George Bryant II, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020.

George was born on Nov. 7, 1976, in Phoenix, Arizona, to George Bryant and Sharron Mintz. George was a great man with a passion for people and his God. He was a talented guitar player and was self-taught. He played for years in the band Angelic Order and his bandmates felt honored to create music with him. Those were some of the best times of their lives, making music together. Later, he spent years leading praise and worship with Celebrate Recovery in the metroplex, sharing his music and message that freedom is possible with God. He wrote his own wedding song to serenade his Emily when they married and sang to her every day.

The wedding song he wrote told the story of George and Emily through the years. As young teens, George and Emily created a sweet love that found them again later after decades of life lived. When they reconnected after all that time four years ago, they found themselves with the same sweet love they had begun with 25 years earlier. They married on Feb. 15 of 2019, and enjoyed two years of marriage filled with children, pets and life that will last them a lifetime.

George had two young children and two stepsons that filled his days. Ethan and Aria were the apples of his eye. Though life has a normal path of rocky and smooth roads, George made sure that all roads led right back to his little loves. He poured himself into cultivating his role as an adoring father, fashioning and refashioning himself to a higher place each time, not settling for who he once was, but for who he could become. And what a lovely sight it was to see, George in his element as a family man, teaching his children about God and love and mercy. Truly, if George could say anything to us all right now, it is this...”Do not grieve for me, for now I am in the presence of our glorious Lord. No longer do I struggle with the weights of this world. I am free! There is one thing I want you all to know. Just as the scripture says, this life is only a vapor, a flower that quickly fades. Remember this, my family and friends, that what matters most is that you know Jesus and have a relationship with Him.” This is George’s legacy. This is his heart.

To cherish his memories George leaves behind his loving wife Emily Bryant; son, Ethan Bryant; daughter, Aria Bryant; mother, Sharron Mintz; father, George Bryant Sr and Connie; sister, Lara Klein and Mark and stepsons Jay Holmes and Jona Wilson.

Services will be held in George’s honor on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Allan Fuller Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at
