Services for Lillian Liles, 75, of Canton, were held Friday, July 23, 2021, at Tundra Baptist Church with Bro. Phil Knott officiating under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home. Interment was in Haven of Memories.

Lillian passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at her home. She was born January 26, 1946, in Jal, New Mexico, to Lester Ozroe and Lillian Lucille Mitchell McDonald.

Mrs. Liles was a dedicated member of Tundra Baptist Church where she had also served as the church secretary. She grew up in Midland, Texas. Lillian lived in the Dallas area for over 40 years before moving to Canton in 2013. She worked as an executive assistant to the vice president of an insurance company in Dallas for many years. Lillian’s passion for genealogy and love of family made her an obvious choice to be the Mitchell and McDonald family reunion’s orchestrator. She always loved to sew for her family and friends. She was a great wife, mother and the best grandmother a family could ask for. Lillian was funny and quick-witted. She loved reading the Bible and applying a biblical perspective to her daily walk in life. She was extremely patriotic and always wanted everyone to be educated on the Constitution and what it means to be an American.

Mrs. Liles is preceded in death by her parents, Lester Ozroe and Lillian Lucille McDonald, and a sister, Roma Woolfolk.

Lillian is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Liles, of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kim Yates, of Canton; daughter and son-in-law, Jodie and Justin Strain, of Combine; stepchildren: Chris and Bethany Liles, Lori Liles, Tammy Liles and D’Ann Liles; five grandchildren: Avery Strain, Jax Strain, Colt Strain, Rachel Liles and Natalie Liles; and three sisters, Joyce Tedder, Gay Bassett and Judith Gooch, and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Pallbearers were Avery Strain, Chris Liles, Vondell Woolfolk, Lance Woolfolk, Jayme Tedder, Mitchell Bassett, Jax Strain and Colt Strain.

If desired, memorials may be given to Tundra Baptist Church 2313 FM 1651 Canton, TX 75103.
