Linda Crowe Symns was born on Oct. 16, 1940, to W.E. and Jewel Clauson Crowe in Olney.

After completing high school, she moved to Denton where she graduated from North Texas State University.

She then began a career teaching English in Irving. After several years she found a new passion in real estate and landed in Gun Barrel City where she was owner/operator of Century 21 Real Estate.

She later moved to Rockwall and there was first a realtor and then transitioned to managing a very successful real estate office.

She eventually moved back to Mabank where she retired from real estate to “The Ranch” with her husband, Jerry.

She passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019. She had a warm smile, a generous heart and an outgoing personality.

She was a long-time member of FUMC Canton, where she attended the Gatherers Sunday school class. She enjoyed giving to others, traveling around the world, music and singing.

Most of all, she loved her Lord, and spending time with friends and family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of close to 30 years, Jerry Symns, and her extended family which are too numerous to mention.
