Services for Royce Wayne Hutcherson, 86, of Canton, were held Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Royce passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, March 10, 2020, in Canton.

He was born Jan. 4, 1934, in Gun Barrel City, to Lonnie Lee Hutcherson and Vera Estelle Shelby.

Royce grew up in the Phalba Community and graduated from Aspermont High School before moving back to Van Zandt County. He owned and operated a dairy farm before working with his sons moving dirt. Royce married Cherell Ann Biggerstaff Nov. 29, 1976. He enjoyed riding around on his farm, playing dominoes and being outdoors. Royce was a member of Kingdom First Ministries in Kemp. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and sitting in his recliner with the remote.

He is survived by his wife, Cherell Hutcherson; sons, Paul and Becky Hutcherson, Perry and Lisa Hutcherson, and Randall Hutcherson; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack and Kay Strickland; sister, Karen and Richard Phillips; and special daughters, Gina Cobb and Lisa K. Wilson.

Royce is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Vera Hutcherson; son, Major Lynn Hutcherson; sister, Nadene Blease; and brother, Larry Hutcherson.

Interment was at Haven of Memories in Canton.
