SB ‘Tooter’ Burrow

Funeral services for SB ‘Tooter’ Burrow, 91, were held at Eubank Funeral Home on Monday, April 15, 2019.

He was born on Oct. 28, 1927, to R.S. Burrow and Uel Anders in Grand Saline.  

He grew up in Fruitvale and graduated from Grand Saline High School in 1947.  He worked for Morton Salt for 25 years before opening his own welding shop. He enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, hunting, traveling and working in his garden.  He was a member of Lawrence Spring Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

He is survived by his sons, Joel and Maryland Burrow, Terry and Angela Burrow, and Larry and Phyllis Simpson; daughters, Denise and Steve Ligon, and Judy Loftin; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Glenda Parkerson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, R.S. and Uel Burrow; wife, Dorothy Simpson Burrow; brother, A.E. ‘Bud’ Burrow; and sister, Louise Burrow. Interment was at Haven of Memories in Canton.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be given to Lawrence Springs Baptist Church.
