CHROMEBOOK DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION:
Canton ISD is pleased to offer our students mobile technology loan equipment (Chromebook). As a district we believe that every student should be provided a rigorous and engaging learning environment. By incorporating a 1-to-1 model for our students we will be able to provide a much richer learning environment. To ensure these benefits are realized, Canton ISD maintains a technology strategy that is fully integrated with district curriculum and professional needs. Parents will have the option to pay a $30 non-refundable insurance fee for using the device. This fee is required annually. The purpose of the fee is to help cover minor damages that may arise. (Fees will be charged for damages, lost or stolen devices). Before a Chromebook will be issued to a student, both the student and parent (guardian) must sign the device agreement form. This form should be completed during the registration process.
Students will be issued a Chromebook during the first week of school.
