Officer saves a life while on vacation

Body
Sergeant Rick Harmon and his wife, Kimberly, planned a Caribbean cruise in February to celebrate a combination of events including Harmon’s retirement, Valentines Day, and their 11th Wedding Anniversary. Little did they know the cruise would be memorable for an entirely different reason. While eating a meal onboard a cruise ship, Harmon and his wife heard a man coughing and a woman in distress. The woman asked a crewmember for medical attention for her husband. Harmon heard the crewmember tell the woman that it could be 10 to 15 minutes before medical staff would arrive. Harmon observed the man having difficulty breathing, vomiting and what appeared to be the beginnings of a stroke. “I usually try not to get involved in too much stuff unless I know what it is,” stated Harmon. “When I heard them say it could be a little bit for medical attention, and he appeared to get worse, I went over and got him settled down on the ground and rolled him over,” explained Harmon.
