Union Grove Cemetery to hold annual meeting

Union Grove Cemetery, Inc in Wills Point will have its annual meeting on Sunday, May 21 at 11 a.m. “We will recognize our veterans, have a short program, have our annual meeting, and join together for lunch under the pavilion. We are proud of Union Grove and would appreciate any donation to maintain this beautiful countryside cemetery. Donations can be made to Union Grove Cemetery, P. O. Box 722, Wills Point, Texas 75169,” stated cemetery officials

Clothes giveaway set

East Oak Street Church of Christ will hold a free clothes giveaway from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 21 at the church, located at 508 East Oak Street, Edgewood.

Build-a-Bug event set for May 28

Lake Tawakoni State Park, located at 10822 FM 2475, will host a Build-a-Bug event beginning at 2 p.m. May 28. Organizers stated, “Show off your art skills as we learn about the tools bugs use for survival! Join a ranger to identify the advantages and importance of bug adaptations through this craft activity. Bring your creativity and a friend.” The program is free with paid park entry. No registration or RSVP is required.
