The Canton Eaglettes put the finishing touches on this year’s District 16-4A title last week, knocking off rival Brownsboro in four sets Oct. 21. Canton, currently ranked 8th overall in the most recent Texas Girls Coaches Association Weekly 4A Rankings, was scheduled to take on Van on the road Oct. 25 in the district finale for both teams. The Eaglettes are set to begin their playoff journey in the bi-district round against Paris either Oct. 31 or Nov. 1.
