Dale went home to the Lord on April 15, 2023, in Tyler. He was born on July 6, 1953, in Billings, Montana to Alden “Stoney” Stone and Cora Jeannette Raper Stone. Dale grew up in Billings. It was there he met the love of his life, Marsha Loseke. The couple married in 1974. In 1986, the couple moved to the Canton and Lindale area where they raised their family. He was Baptist by faith and a member at Lakeside Baptist Church.
Dale was a hardworking man who loved his family. He enjoyed golfing and being outdoors, but his favorite pastime was coaching his sons and school age boys in baseball, basketball and running. He loved helping young men achieve and to reach their goals. He was a mentor and friend. Dale loved the Lord, his family and helping others.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Stoney and Cora Stone, and brother, Howard “Doug” Stone.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marsha Stone; sons and daughter’s in-law, Bryan and Billie Stone, and Jordan and Shelley Stone; grandchildren, Audrey Stone; Carson Stone; Landon Stone, and Hudson Stone, and sisters, Levana Lev and Sharon Propp.
Dale wore many hats throughout his life, many at the same time. From his time as a coal miner to coaching youth sports or his interactions with employees as a business owner, he always found opportunities to inspire and help everyone in his life. His integrity and endearing sense of humor earned the trust and respect of all who knew him. His legacy lives on by the mark he left on so many. By his faith, we know he is in heaven and the pain we feel is matched by the joy we have in knowing we will be with him again.
