Food giveaway set

East Oak Street Church of Christ will hold a food giveaway from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 4 at the church, located at 508 East Oak Street Edgewood.

FBC to host free seminar

First Baptist Church of Canton will hold a free seminar titled “A Parent’s Journey.” The seminar will assist senior citizens through the aging process with a light meal to kick off the seminar at 5:30 p.m. with panel discussion to follow at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, at the church located at 303 Athens St., Canton.

A panel of experts in senior care and solutions will go over a wide range of topics dealing with caring for and guiding aging parents. Topics for discussion include caregiver burnout, assisted living, veteran aid and assistance, home health, short term rehab, hospice, financial resources, LTC skilled nursing, and local resources.
