As the days fly by summer is almost gone. I am still looking for those cooler fall days. It seems like it’s just around the corner. I keep waiting every morning for it to be cooler.

Have you tried Libby? It’s our E-book reader! There are many great books to choose from and it’s free. One tap reading app from your library. Really simple to use, download on your device and start reading today. If you need a little help, we have a class coming up on Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. to help you get started with the Libby app. Jordin is teaching it. Call the library if you have questions.

Mark your calendars now. The Friends of the Library have their Fall Book Fair coming up soon, Oct. 4 – 7. Same as before, $5 a bag of books they provide the bag. All proceeds go to support the library. Stay tuned for more information.

Our library is certified as a Family Place Library! We received the training a while back and did some of the children’s programming. COVID interrupted things, and we missed the final part of our program. We are excited have our final inspection this week. Be on the lookout for our expanded Family place area coming soon.

We have public computers available to use. You can print, scan and fax. You can even print from your phone in most cases. We have a public notary on staff as well. These services are available for a small fee. Call us at 903-567-4276 for more info. We have newspapers, magazines, the newest books and old classics to choose from. Our WiFi is available and open to you 24/7. Visit our Facebook for up-to-date information anytime as well.

Our hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursday is our late day 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. We are located at 317 First Monday Lane, Canton. We look forward to seeing you soon.
