Celebration of life services for Benjamin Franklin Faglie, Jr., 73, of Canton were held Monday, August 14, 2023, at Little Hope Baptist Church with Bro. James Nickel officiating. Ben passed away at his home on August 10, 2023. He was born September 13, 1949, to Ben and Imo Lee Faglie, Sr., of Canton. Ben enjoyed his childhood, his school, his friends, and his football days at Canton High School and earned a football scholarship to attend Southwest Texas State University. Ben was always interested in continuing his education and diligently attended college to receive his Master’s in Business Administration and then studied for his degree in law with the California JD online law degree program achieving a professional doctorate.

Ben started his career in 1971 at the age of 21 with Southwestern Bell in Dallas. He moved up in the company relocating his family to St. Louis and served as a Course Developer and trainer. As Southwestern Bell became AT&T, Ben grew into the position of Network Engineer. He eventually retired from AT&T in 2006 and took a position with Vectrus Systems Corporation in 2007 as a Network Engineer in Iraq and Afghanistan providing our military with internet and IT services for 13 years.

Ben loved all his family very much, both his immediate and his extended family. Having grown up in Canton, he loved the outdoors, he loved spending time in the country enjoying his family, his cattle, his land, and his tractor. Ben passed peacefully at his home in Canton, in his yard, under his shade tree, in his comfy lawn chair. We will all miss him very, very much. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Imo Lee Faglie.
