November 15, 1947 – May 16, 2025

David Lynn Hardy was born November 15, 1947, in Canton.

He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University and spent over 30 years as a High School and Middle School educator and Football Coach.

He would help anyone in need and had a love of competitive sports, road trips, and trout fishing in Red River, New Mexico.

After retiring from coaching, he enjoyed restoring old International Scouts and Chevrolet Corvettes.

He also enjoyed watching sports and restoring cars with his uncles and best friends, Mike and Jerry Chambless.

David passed away at the age of 77 on Friday, May 16, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Hardy and Laverne Chambless. He is survived by his sons, David Hardy of Corpus Christi; and Daniel Hardy and his wife, Raquel, of Hurst; and his two grandsons, Matthew and Jonathan Hardy.
