1967-2023

David Norman Barbee was born in Arlington on August 18,1967, and passed away August 8,2023, in Phil Campbell, Alabama, where he resided with his wife, Marcy, and grandson, Zander.

David was the youngest son of Sylvia Jo Burnett Barbee and the late Ernest (Ernie) Gerald Barbee of Canton. Growing up in Arlington was a joy to David. He loved his school friends and family members who lived nearby. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Arlington.

In addition to his dad, Ernie, David is preceded in death by grandparents, J.W and Mary Jo Ashworth Burnett; John R. and Maggie E. Neely Barbee of Rule, Texas and eight aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his mother, Sylvia Jo; his brother, Steven Gerald and family; his brother, John Wade, and family; two aunts; many cousins and relatives who loved him.

David will be remembered most for his fun-loving spirit and willingness to help others. He was also blessed with the ability to make friends easily. Burial will be in the family plot at the Rule Cemetery at a future date.
