1947-2023

David Royce Keahey passed away in Plano on Sept. 7, 2023. He was born on Feb. 12, 1947, to Royce and Genevieve Keahey in Canton. David grew up in the Methodist Church and graduated from Canton High School where he was a member of the famous Eagles football team that was unscored on during the entire regular season.

David attended UNT in Denton and served six years in the U.S. Navy aboard the Dwight D. Eisenhower and Saratoga aircraft carriers. He loved music and reading and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Jan.

He is survived by his sister, Jackie Westmoreland and husband, Bill, and nephew, Jason Westmoreland and wife, Sandy. David will be missed by his family and friends. There are no services planned at this time.
