Services for Emma LaDell Fowler, 88, of Canton, were held Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Canton with Pastor Mike Roberson and Chaplain Bryan Grant officiating. Interment was in Haven of Memories.

Mrs. Fowler passed away May 13, 2022, in Van. She was born Dec. 8, 1933, in Leonard to John Henry and Edna Marie Jamison Jones.

Emma was an active member of First Baptist Church in Canton for many years. She was also active with the Lions Club, where she was awarded a lifetime membership. Mrs. Fowler touched many lives not only during her 28 years of teaching in public schools, but through teaching Sunday School and serving through the Lions Club.

Mrs. Fowler is preceded in death by her two husbands, Norman Butts and Mal Fowler, and two brothers, J.C. and George Jones.

Emma is survived by three daughters, LaDell Pierce of Canton; Kim Burch of Canton, and Teresa Short of Ben Wheeler; son, Todd Fowler of Van; grandchildren, Jonathan and Nikki Pierce; Blair and Destry Hesskew; Holly Raitz; Avery King; Layton Martinez; Cade Fowler and Jennifer Hudgens; great-grandchildren, Teagan Pierce; Gemma Pierce; Buck Hesskew; Parx Hesskew and Endi Hesskew, and her loving friend and caregiver, Vickie Holloway.
