Funeral services for Jean LeMonds, 78, of Ben Wheeler, were held Monday, October 21, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Ben Wheeler with Bro. Carlton Young and Bro. Shaun Skubal officiating. Interment was in Haven of Memories under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Jean was born to R.C. Myers and Annie Foster Myers in Seagoville on May 30, 1946. She graduated from Seagoville High School in 1964. Jean married James LeMonds on December 10, 1965. James was drafted in the Army and for two years was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. When he returned from the service in January1966, they resumed their life and had four children. Jean worked for Johnny Mitchells for 15 years making car air conditioners and ice machines. Later on, she was a custodian at the First Baptist Church in Ben Wheeler for 14 years where she was a member for 48 years.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, James LeMonds, her parents, R.C. and Annie Myers, and brother, Charles Myers.

Jean is survived by her four children: Michael and Karla LeMonds of Ben Wheeler, Michelle and Tim Palmisano of Newport, Maine; Charlotte and Jason Skiles of Grand Saline; and Susan and Michael Thying of Ben Wheeler. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Jonathan Palmisano, Michael LeMonds Jr., Samantha Skiles, Whitney Skiles, Michael Thying III, and Ethan Thying; one great-grandchild, Axel Palmisano; brother, Delynn Myers of Seagoville; sister, Reta Holland of Lancaster; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Gregory LeMonds, Randy Le-Monds, Robert Myers, John Myers, Frank Richardson and Derek Myers.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
