1943-2024

Mary Ann Wiley, 80, of Canton passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. She was born November 14, 1943, in Robertsdale, Alabama, to Alex Ander and Ada Louise Boyington Hammac.

Mary lived in Van Zandt County for the past 52 years. She owned and operated the family business, Wiley’s Gun Shop. Mary was a member of Cana Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time in her yard and crocheting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wiley is preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Wiley, parents, Alex, and Ada Hammac; and two sons, David and Cash Wiley.

Mary is survived by her daughter, PamelaAnn Hinton and husband, Byron; four grandchildren: Beau Hinton, Hannah Hinton, Cody and Courtney Wiley, and Mary Katherine and Bill Wheeler; four great-grandchildren: Hondo Wiley, Maverick Wiley, Liam Wheeler, and Betty Wheeler; two sisters: June Pollard and husband, Andy, and Sandra Hatch; brother, Tony Hammac and wife, Bobbie; and several nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of East Texas.
