August 31, 1938 – August 16, 2024

A Celebration of Life service for Patrick Ferrell King, 85, of Canton was held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Colfax United Methodist Church, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, with Rev. Roy James and Rev. JoAnn Elston officiating.

Patrick went home to Lord on August 16, 2024, in Canton. He was born on August 31, 1938, in Post, Texas to Patrick Henry King and Thelma Jasmin Cox King.

Patrick grew up in the Canton and Colfax area. On July 21, 1956, he married his one true love, Martha Ardry. The couple had 65 beautiful years together at her passing. Together, they raised a wonderful family with Christian values. They were long time members of Colfax United Methodist Church. Patrick was active in the church and a member of the Masonic Lodge #904 in Colfax. He enjoyed fishing, old cars and farming. Patrick was big on family history and loved to tell about the history of his family. Patrick’s best day was a day spent with family, fishing or fixing things. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye. Patrick will be dearly missed, but his friends and family finds comfort knowing he is with his beloved Martha, and they will see him again in Heaven.

Patrick is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Henry and Thelma King; beloved wife, Martha King; and seven siblings.

He is survived by his children: Thelma Christine Crawford, Vernon King, Jeffery King and wife, Nijole; Patrick Shawn King and wife, Veronica; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Patrick was laid to rest next to his beloved Martha at Colfax Cemetery in Van Zandt County.
