A memorial service for Richard Daniel ‘Rick’ Gregg, 85, of Terrell, was held Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Pastor Ken Davis officiating.

Mr. Gregg passed away January 21, 2026, in Kaufman. He was born on July 6, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to Gordon and Luella Zingheim Gregg.

Richard, known as ‘Rick,’ grew up in California and El Paso. After he served in the U.S. Army, he returned to El Paso and began working for Safeway.

He was transferred to Silver City, New Mexico where he met Patricia. They moved back to El Paso. After he left Safeway, Rick became a supervisor at a liquor store in Lubbock.

He then went to work for Centennial Liquor in Dallas. In retirement, Rick moved to Terrell where he enjoyed the country life and golf. After Rick became a Christian, he became a member of Faith at Work Church in Kemp.

Mr. Gregg is preceded in death by his parents: Gordon and Luella Gregg; four brothers: Gordon John ‘Gordy’ Gregg, Robert James ‘Bob’ Gregg, Homer Gregg and James Joseph ‘Jim’ Gregg; and three sisters: Marguerite ‘Marg,’ Virginia ‘Gin,’ and Eleanor ‘El.’

Rick is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Mizzles Gregg; son, Daniel and Samantha Gregg; stepchildren: Cheryl O’Neil and Bryan Helton; brother, Theodore Clark ‘Ted’ Gregg; and two grandchildren: Jayda Gregg and Caleb Gregg.
