1960-2022

Our sweet and loving Sandra Jill Johnson of Canton passed away Oct. 16, 2022 with her husband by her side. She was greeted into the presence of her savior Jesus Christ. Sandra was born May 28, 1960 in Minneoplis, MN to her parents Mervin Lloyd and Donna Mae Norling. Sandra graduated in 1978 from Thomas Jefferson High School in Bloomington, MN. She attended South Dakota State University, and she went on to graduate from St. Cloud State University of MN. She was married to John L. Brose on July 6, 1985 and they had one son together, Joshua L. Brose on Dec. 7, 1987. Sandra’s second marriage was to Jeffrey R. Johnson on March 18, 1995.

Sandra had worked in the Insurance Industry for 15 years and worked up to a underwriter. She felt God did not want her in busines any longer, her heart was to go home and raise her kids with the Lord. Sandra ran “Live by Faith”, a licensed daycare in her home located in MN for 15 years. Sandra was able to impact so many children throughout her time with “Live by Faith” daycare, and made a real connection to bring Jesus into each and everyone’s life. While in MN, Sandra was diagnosed with Cerebellar Ataxia, she was unable to work any longer. After praying, she decided to move to Texas on Aug. 13, 2013.

Sandy was the most beautiful, courageous, devoted, selfless, patient, loving, kind smile, gentle, hard working, respectful Christian mother, spouse, sister, daughter and friend you could have hoped to be around. She fought the good fight, was never mean, short, angry, distant, never cursed or bitter, but remained faithful and loved her family and everyone with all her heart. She glorified God through the years of suffering gracefully and she always loved Jesus up until her last breath, we will see you in Heaven, we love and miss you, honey.

Sandra’s surviors include her husband of twenty- seven and a half years, Jeff Johnson; mother, Donna Norling; daughter, Rachel Baker (Cameron) Juda and Norah; sons, Jacob Johnson (Raylee) Elijah; Andrew Johnson, and Joshua Brose; sister, Sue (Mike) Marturano; brother, Mark (Linda) Norling, and five nephews and nieces. Brother in laws, Mike Johnson, and David Johnson (Lucy); sister in law, Susan Detove (Albert), and four nephews and nieces, Greg and April Starr, and two nephews.

Greeting her in Heaven is her dad, Mervin Norling; mother-in-law, Joyce Johnson; grandparents, Ethel and Art Lemiex; sister-in-law, Joy Starr; step-son, Christopher Johnson, and step-nephew, Wade Johnson.

Sandy Johnsons’s Celebration of Life will be held Friday Nov. 4th at 5:30 p.m. at 231 CR 4104 Canton, Broussard residence. A potluck is to be held, please bring a dish or dessert. All are welcomed to attend.
