Eaglettes place second at home meet
A host of local cross country programs, including runners from Canton, Edgewood, Grand Saline, Martins Mill, Van and Wills Point, made their way to the Canton Sept. 10 to compete at the annual Running Eagles Invitational.
Eustace took first overall in the varsity girls division with 52 points, narrowly edging out host Canton in second with 54 points.
Other team finishers included Mabank placing third with 75 points, Wills Point placing fourth with 105 points, Lindale placing fifth with 121 points, Bishop Gorman placing sixth with 164 points, Emory Rains placing seventh with 181 points, Farmersville placing eighth with 190 points, Edgewood placing ninth with 211 points and Brownsboro placing 10th with 224 points.
