The Running Eagles ran at the Region II meet on Monday, October 24 in windy and rainy conditions.

The girls team captured fourth place and a chance to compete at the Class 4A State Meet in Round Rock Nov. 4. Miguel Arce will also be representing the Eagles at the State Meet having finished regional runner up in a blazing time of 15:51.

He was followed by teammate Kevin Velazquez in 27th with a time of 17:50, Cooper Behrend in 19:14, Rocco Foley in 19:41, and Riley Smith in 20:23. The boys team finished 11th overall out of 22 teams. Graycee Wilson finished eighth overall in a time of 11:57 followed by Justynne Earl in 22nd with a time of 12:47. Lana Stapleton was 33rd in 13:05, Kimber Holly 35th in 13:08, KeAna Whitlock 13:50, Kate Wallis 14:10, and Mykah Mebane 15:07.

“I’m so proud of and excited for these runners. They have worked hard this season and are seeing the benefits,” said Coach Morgan.
