Body During their regular meeting May 10, the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court recognized a VZC employee for his years of service. VZC Treasurer Kenny Edwards received a 15-year of service ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ from VZC Pct.

Body The Van Zandt County Republican Club hosted a special forum at the Canton Civic Center May 9 to discuss the recent rise in property tax valuations. The event, which was originally slated to be held at the Canton Farm Bureau, drew close to 1,000 attendees.

Body The Canton High School Class of 2023 will hold commencement ceremonies May 19 at 7:30 p.m., at Norris Birdwell Stadium on the football field. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved into the Larry David Auditorium.
