The 23rd Annual Autumn Festival, featuring music, food, and fun, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m.

The Republican Club of Van Zandt will be hosting a rally for U.S. Presidential Candidate Donald Trump and U.S. Senator Incumbent Candidate Ted Cruz on the State Highway 19 overpass at Interstate 20 in Canton from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.

A proclamation recognizing the week of Oct. 6 as 2024 National 4-H Week was unanimously approved by the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court during its regular meeting Sept. 25. VZC Judge Andy Reese read the proclamation to those in attendance.

From the shadows of childhood illness to the bright promise of adulthood, Caleb Guy’s story is one of resilience, hope, and determination. Now 20 years old, Caleb, a resident of Canton, reflected on his journey, which began at the tender age of seven when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
