Everitt’s Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition, ‘Freak Weirdo Loser,’ is an installation at the UT Tyler Meadows Gallery inspired by habitual sketch-booking and the need to understand the complexities of emotions.

The Van Zandt County Historical Commission (VZCHC) met on March 5 with the newly-formed VZC Museums group. More than 30 people gathered at the VZC/Sarah Norman Library in Canton to join forces for historical education.

Van Zandt County Fire Marshal Kevin Palmer announced March 13 that the 30-day burn ban in VZC has been rescinded, effective immediately. The 30-day burn ban was initially put in by the VZC Commissioners Court during its regular meeting Feb.

A sophomore student at Kemp High School passed away on Thursday, March 5 according to a press release from Kemp ISD. Kemp High School sophomore Maddison Dyer was killed in a car accident on the morning of Thursday, March 5.

Members of the Texas Star Quilters Guild (TSQG) have been busy with plans for this new year. In addition to our mission statement of involvement in various charity endeavors throughout the community, we will be partnering with various other organizations and participating in their events.
