Canton cross country members who qualified for the State Meet were sent off in style on Thursday, Nov. 4, with Canton High School students and faculty lining up outside the school to see them off. Parents also attended in support, holding signs and pictures along the highway.

ANNUAL QUILT SHOW

The Texas Star Quilters Guild hosted their annual quilt show Oct. 14 and 15. Many beautiful quilts and vendors were present on Saturday, when the Quilts of Valor Foundation honored six veterans by wrapping them with a handmade quilt to honor their service. Robert Allen, Air Force, Kathy Norris, Army, Jim Calfy, Air Force, Dwayne Waldrop, Army, John Brasfield, Navy, and Debra Brasfield, Navy were in attendance.
MonicaAnthony’s ‘Blooming Patch’won a Blue Ribbon and the Best of Small Quilts Award.

EXIT Realty donates to Advocacy Center

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Van Zandt County has held a special place amongst the EXIT Realty Pro family for many years. Stated by EXIT Realty Owner Debbie Murdock, “Their presence in the community has always been a valuable asset.”

Whitton VFD to host fundraiser

The Whitton Volunteer Fire Department, located at 2665 County Road 2404 in Canton, will host a Chili Cook-Off and Dessert Auction Saturday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m.
