City-wide cleanup to kick off next week

Body Canton citizens will have an opportunity to dispose of select items at ease next week, as the Keep Canton Beautiful citywide cleanup will be returning this year, beginning on Monday, March 13 through Thursday, March 16.

Body Local first responders were very busy early Sunday morning, as at approximately 2 a.m., authorities would respond to a multi-vehicle accident between two 18-wheelers on I-20 Eastbound.

Submissions sought for Explore photo contest

Body Van Zandt Newspapers is putting out the call to all local photographers for the annual 2023 Explore Magazine Photography Contest. Winning entries will be featured in Van Zandt Newspapers’ annual Explore Magazine with name credit.

VZC employees recognized for years of service

Body A number ofVan Zandt County employees received certificates in recognition of their years of service during the March 1 regular meeting of the VZC Commissioners Court. VZC District Judge Chris Martin recognized three employees with certificates for their years of service to VZC.
