Possible UIL soccer program for CHS discussed

Body A standing room crowd was on hand at the Canton ISD Administration Building March 16 as the topic of a potential University Interscholastic League (UIL) soccer program for Canton High School was presented during the regular monthly meeting of the Canton School Board.
Jessica Sanders served as the spokesperson for a large group of parents and students that were in attendance March 16 during the regular monthly meeting of the Canton School Board. The group was requesting that the board consider adding soccer to the University Interscholastic League (UIL) varsity sports schedule at Canton High School. Chamber Gala tickets on sale through March 27

Body Tables and individual tickets remain on sale through Friday, March 27 for the Annual Canton Texas Chamber of Commerce Community Awards Gala scheduled for Saturday, April 11, at the Canton Civic Center. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

Kaufman County Library hosting book and author luncheon

Body Texas best-selling authors, Amanda Churchill and Jack Stewart, will be the guest authors for the Friends of the Kaufman County Library’s 24th Annual Book and Author Luncheon at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 26 at the Kaufman Civic Center, located at 600 E. Fair St.
