1926 – 2024 Lewis Eugene “Gene” Stone, 97, passed away on January 28, 2024, in Grand Saline. Born on November 7, 1926, in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, Gene spent over five decades as a cherished resident of Colfax.

1960 - 2024 Pamela Kay Stutts, a lively, spirited red head, known for her love of adventure, musical talent, and dedication to her family, friends and faith, passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 63, in Tyler. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

1933 - 2024 Funeral services for Virginia Louise Sides, 91, of Canton, were held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. Interment followed at Haven of Memories.

1930 - 2024 Marion H. Davis, affectionately known as “Davis,” passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024, in Tyler, at the age of 94, to be with his Lord and Savior.

1939 - 2024 Services for John H. Gurley, 84, of Eustace, were held Friday, February 2, 2024, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Billy Gurley and Bill Gurley officiating.

1929 – 2024 Hazle Virginia Bryant Meredith of Canton died Friday, Jan. 26, at the age of 94.

1948 – 2024 Services for Carolyn Diane Strimpel, 75, of Canton, were held Saturday, January 27, 2024, at First United Methodist Church in Canton with Bro. Adam Muckleroy officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.

1976 – 2024 Jason Gabriel Tidwell was born in Tyler on June 10, 1976, and died at his home in Wimberley, Texas, on January 8, 2024. He graduated from Canton High School, class of 1995, and has had family in Canton, Martins Mill and throughout Van Zandt County since the 1860s.
