Seventh Grade Congratulations to Jazlyn Diera, a 7th grade student at Canton Junior High, for being recognized as this week’s Canton ISD Student of the Week. Jazlyn is the daughter of Thomas and Reba Dally and has attended Canton ISD since 3rd grade.

Fifth Grade Brooklyn is the daughter of Chase and Christina Ganschow and is a 5th grade student in Mrs. Sheppard’s class.

Canton Elementary Pre-K Registration Round-Up Full Day Pre-K 20262027 School Year Canton Elementary School www.cantonisd.com (parent registration tab) has been announced. If your child will be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2026, and meets one of the PK qualifiers listed below, you are eligible to complete the registration process at CES.

Congratulations to Jay Taylor, a 3rd grader in Mrs. White’s class, on being named Canton ISD’s Student of the Week! Jay is the son of Jeff Taylor and Adam and Jordan Gilles.

Kindergarten Congratulations to Aubrey Louis, a kindergartener at Canton Elementary, on being named our Student of the Week! Aubrey is the daughter of Amy Louis and Matthew Edwards. Math is Aubrey’s favorite subject.

Tyler Junior College has recognized 1,571 students named to the President’s and Dean’s Lists for their outstanding academic achievements during the Fall 2025 semester. The President’s List consists of 562 students who completed 12 or more hours of college-level courses with a 40 grade-point average.

Gavin Anthony Cervantes earned a 3.5 GPA or higher in the spring 2025 semester, securing a reputable position on Southern Arkansas University’s Dean’s List. Cervantes is a senior Performing Arts: Instrumental Music Education major from Canton.

Kylee Lookabaugh of Canton graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Abilene Christian University. Lookabaugh was among 646 students who received degrees at ACU’s December Commencement.
