The annual Canton Main Street Autumn Stroll drew a large turnout on a warm, sunny day Oct. 11.

2025 CHS Homecoming Queen

Following the approval of their proposed tax rate for 2025 Sept. 29, the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court agreed to adopt the VZC budget for fiscal year 2026 during another special called meeting Oct. 3.

davidb@vanzandtnews.com After a public hearing, the Van Zandt County Commissioners’ Court unanimously adopted the 2025 Tax Rate for VZC and also approved an Order Setting the Tax Rate during a special called meeting Sept. 29.

The Fall Book Fair, sponsored by the Friends of the Van Zandt County/Sarah Norman Library, is underway at the Van Zandt County/Sarah Norman Library in Canton. The cost is $5.00 per bag.

The 2025 Canton High School Homecoming Court was recently announced.
