Body The Canton Eagles were well represented on the District 6-4A, Division 2, All-District Football Team that was recently released.

Body The Canton Eagles varsity boys’ basketball team improved their season record to 7-4 overall after dominating Henderson, 61-30. The Eagles were led in scoring by Brody Lewis with 13 points followed by Judson Dyke with 11 and Bailey Holiman with 10.

Body The Canton Eaglettes won first place in the annual Winnsboro Hoopfest Tournament last weekend. The road to this tournament victory covered two days of pool play to determine who would be fighting it out on day three for the championship.

Body The Canton Eagles’ varsity boys’ basketball team improved their season record to 4-1 with a dominating 74-31 victory over Scurry-Rosser Dec. 1.

Body Four Canton High School senior athletes signed National Letters of Intent Dec. 3. Those signing included left to right, Rylee Busby, Harding University, softball; Chloe Howe, Missouri State University, basketball; and Mallory and Addison Alexander, Nelson University, volleyball.

Body The Canton Eagle freshmen boys’ basketball team got past Kaufman 48-35, Nov. 25.

Body In a close contest, the Canton Eagle junior varsity boys’ basketball team lost to Kaufman, 46-43, Nov. 25.

Body The Canton Eagle varsity boys’ basketball team took care of business in a non-district matchup Nov. 18 against Pine Tree winning 59-43.
