No action taken on Canton ISD budget, tax rate

‘Worship Night & Prayer’ set for CISD

Churches across the community will come together and hold a ‘Worship Night & Prayer’ service for the Canton ISD teachers, faculty and school administration beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, in the Canton High School Larry Davis Auditorium.

TEXAS PRESS ASSOCIATION The risk for wildfires across the state has risen along with the hot and dry conditions, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service. “With the recent uptick in wildfire activity, Texas A&M Forest Service has mobilized additional personnel and equipment to assist with response,” said Wes Moorehead, Texas A&M Forest Service fire chief.

Abbott Announces $87.7 Million In Housing Tax Credits

Governor Greg Abbott recently announced that the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded $87.7 million in housing tax credits to help finance the development or rehabilitation of 54 rental properties offering reduced rents and increased housing options for Texans throughout the state.
