Carolyn Jay McCondichie Grinstead was born on May 13, 1939 and entered heaven’s gates on August 5, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held on September 3, 2022, at 3 p.m.

Dr. Walter Warn Bingham passed away on the evening of August 3, 2022, at Canton Oaks Nursing Home at the age of 85. He is survived by his brother, Jim Bingham of Bonham, Texas; daughter, Kym Phillips (Don) of Canton, and son, Blake Bingham (Tammi) of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Walter had six grandchildren – Page Cherry; Kyle Phillips; Meagan McCormick; Erin Bingham; Garrett Bingham, and Morgan Bingham; four great-grandchildren – Landry Hopkins; Olivia Hopkins; Charlie Phillips, and Crew Phillips. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Regina McWilliams Bingham.

Services were held for Tommy Barton on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Hilliard Funeral Home. A graveside service was held at Shady Grove Cemetery in Grand Prairie. Visitation was held on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Lucille Geddie was born December 22, 1925, in Colfax, Texas, to the late Eugene Matthews and Tillie White Matthews. She and her husband moved to Lancaster in 1950 and then settled back in Ben Wheeler in 1981 for retirement. Lucille had been a member of the Colfax Methodist Church since childhood. She enjoyed quilting and made more than 2,000 quilts, mostly baby quilts donated to underprivileged children. She was an avid reader and noted for her baking skills. She was a positive role model, making the best of what life offers and appreciating every moment.

Graveside services for Cecil Delbert Kindle, 92, o Grand Saline, were held Saturday, July 30, 2022, a Woodside Cemetery with Taylor Rogers officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Services for Mary Frances Malone Kitchens, 93, of Grand Saline, were held Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Bro. Billy Smith officiating.

A funeral service was held for Wilmer “Eli” Clifton, 81. of Canton, on Friday, July 21, 2022, at Lakeside Baptist Church under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, with Bro. Carlton Young officiating.

Micheal “Red” Maher passed away July 8, 2022. He was born in Dallas September 15, 1957.

Cindy Dell Heddin, age 60, of Canton, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Cindy was born April 24, 1962 to parents, C.J. Gunderson and Peggy Sapp. She married the love of her life, Dennis Heddin January 11, 1985, in Mabank, TX. Cindy was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; who loved spending time with her beautiful family, as well as her cats, N2 and Kitty Kitty. She enjoyed yard work and gardening. The best feeling was sitting on the front porch with a hot coffee or cold Dr. Pepper.
