Driver Safety Class set for June 20 in Canton

The AARP Driver Safety Program and the Van Zandt County/Sarah Norman Library located at 317 First Monday Lane in Canton are sponsoring a driver safety class on Thursday, June 20 from noon to 5 p.m. This course is designed for drivers 50 years of age and older primarily.

ETCOG representative speaks to Canton Lions Club

East Texas Council of Governments (ETCOG) Director of Communications Lindsay Vanderbilt was the guest speaker April 10 during the weekly Canton Lions Club Luncheon at the Van Zandt Country Club. ETCOG currently serves 14 East Texas counties including Van Zandt County, Anderson County, Camp County, Cherokee County, Gregg County, Harrison County, Henderson County, Marion County, Panola County, Rains County, Rusk County, Smith County, Upshur County, and Wood County.
