The Canton Main Street Program hosted the annual Autumn Festival on Saturday, Oct. 8. Attendees took in live music, food vendors, business booths, and more. The Main Street Program reported that it was their most successful festival held to date.
The Van Zandt County Genealogical Society assisted local lineage societies in honoring two old Van Zandt County settlers and patriots Oct. 8 at Elm Grove Cemetery in the southwestern part of the county.
Canton ISD art students spent several days last week working on chalk murals around the square prior to the Oct. 8 Autumn Festival. On the day of the festival, attendees were able to vote on the mural they liked the best.
