One of the goals that Coach Heath Ragle’s Canton Eagles set at the beginning of the 2024 varsity football season was to put themselves in a position to play for a ‘Gold Ball,’ representing the District 6-4, Division 2 championship.

Any questions about how the Canton Eagles would respond following their first loss of the season Oct. 18 were quickly answered Oct. 25 as Canton stormed out to 28-6 halftime lead and held on to defeat the Ferris Yellowjackets, 28-14, in a critical District 6-4A, Division 2, contest at Ferris.
