Running Eagles competed at Lindale Invitational Oct. 3

The Running Eagles ran at the Lindale Invitational on Thursday, Oct. 3. The varsity boys’ team finished fourth overall out of 31 teams with 244 runners competing. Kevin Velazquez led the way finishing fourth in a time of 17:06 followed by Noah Zarate in eighth place with a time of 17:16.

Eagles stay undefeated as non-district play ends

Non-district ended on a successful note Sept. 27 on Homecoming night at Norris Birdwell Stadium for the Canton Eagles as they head into their bye week after shutting down the Rusk Eagles, 21-3, to improve their season record to 5-0, Canton’s best start since 2016.
The Canton Eagle football team awaited the results of the opening coin toss prior to their Homecoming game Sept. 27 against the Rusk Eagles. Eagles spoil Mabank’s Homecoming to remain undefeated

With an impressive defensive effort and a dominating running attack on offense, the Canton Eagles had few issues with the Mabank Panthers Sept. 20 as they spoiled the Panther’s Homecoming night with a 21-0 shutout victory to improve their undefeated season record to 4-0.

Eagles move to 3-0 after outlasting Paris North Lamar

Trailing by four points at halftime, the Canton Eagles stormed back in the second half on Friday the 13th as they overtook the Paris North Lamar Panthers, 26-16, at Norris Birdwell Stadium. Canton is now 3-0 overall for the first time since the 2016 campaign as they will take their undefeated record on the road for a 7:30 p.m.
