Preparations for the 2023 Community Health Fair in Canton are continuing. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m.

Churches across the Canton ISD community will come together and hold a ‘Worship Night & Prayer’ service for teachers, faculty, and administration scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28 at the Canton High School Larry Davis Auditorium.

Committee members vetting questions, debate panelists asking the questions, and a tentative debate format for the Texas House, District 2, Republican Party candidate debate in Van Zandt County has been released.

Canton resident and international gospel artist La La Musiq recently won the 2023 Female Songwriter of the Year at the International Singer Songwriters Association awards show in Atlanta, Georgia Aug. 5.
