Local book lovers will have an opportunity to add to their personal collections early next month with the Van Zandt County Sarah Norman Library announcing that their latest book fair and silent auction event will take place May 2-5 at 317 First Monday Lane in Canton.

The Whitton Community Center, located at 10073 FM 1651 in Canton, will host a fundraiser spaghetti dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. April 15.

A packed house was in attendance to hear discussion regarding election equipment options and the continued use of paper ballots during the regular meeting of the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court March 15.

The next meeting for Republican Women of Van Zandt is scheduled for Monday, April 10 at the Van Zandt County Library located at 317 First Monday Lane in Canton. Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m., with the meeting to being promptly at 6 p.m.

Van Zandt Newspapers is putting out the call to all local photographers for the annual 2023 EXPLORE Magazine Photography Contest. Winning entries will be featured in Van Zandt Newspapers’ annual EXPLORE Magazine with name credit.
