VZC earns increased state grant to expand youth program

The award comes after a competitive grant cycle, with three agencies vying for limited diversion funds.

Forney ISD Chief of Communications Kristin Zastoupil issued a press release May 4 regarding allegations of misconduct involving a Forney ISD teacher which read as follows: “While there is currently a multi-agency investigation underway, we have now been cleared to share the following information,” said Zastoupil.

Canton baseball player recovering from on-field accident

On a play that is considered to be routine during most high school baseball games turned into a scary situation for two Canton High School varsity baseball players recently. During a district game at Mabank April 20, Canton Eagle senior left fielder Dane Vanhoozer raced in at full speed to attempt a diving catch while his shortstop teammate also backed up as fast as he could to try to make a play on the ball.
