Ragle believes that athletics involves more than wins, losses

While a number of participants, fans, and coaches might believe that the success of a high school athletic program is determined by only wins and losses, Canton High School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Heath Ragle said that there is more involved in athletics than just the result of an event.

Members of 1964 CHS football team to be recognized

The home varsity football game for the Canton Eagles against Paris North Lamar Friday, Sept. 13 will have added significance as the1964 Bi-District Champion Canton High School Eagle varsity football team will be recognized on their 60th anniversary team reunion.

VZC Courthouse to host ‘Bells Across America’

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Neches River Chapter in Van Zandt County will be hosting ‘Bells Across America’ as VZC will be honoring the United States Constitution. The program is scheduled for 2:45 p.m.
